Rock music will drift from the Columbia County Amphitheater on Sunday with the fourth concert of the Music Evolution Series.
//
The concert, organized by For the Fans Entertainment LLC, will feature music by The Gin Blossoms, Luna Halo and Edison Project.
The bands are expected to put on a show full of "high energy and great melodic tunes," said Jayson Sabo, one of the three owners of For the Fans Entertainment.
Sabo said each band has a "pop-rock" sound.
Luna Halo band member Nathan Barlowe said the band, which is signed with Columbia Records, has been together for seven years.
Sunday's concert will be Luna Halo's first in Evans.
"We're actually known for being super-energetic and entertaining on stage," Barlowe said. "I think they'll leave entertained for sure."
The gates to the amphitheater open at 5 p.m.; the concert begins at 6.
Sabo said the Gin Blossoms' music appeals to listeners of all ages, and he expects a high turnout during Memorial Day weekend.
"We're expecting that generation gap to kind of come together," he said. "Even a 10-year-old could enjoy this."
Edison Project takes the stage at 6 p.m. Luna Halo plays at 7, and the Gins Blossoms play about 8, Sabo said. He estimated that the show will end by 9:30.
"It's going to be pretty interesting," Sabo said. "I'm very excited about the show. It's going to be awesome."
Tickets cost $25 at the gate. Advance tickets cost $20 and can be purchased at Wild Wing Cafe, Columbia County Community Events Building B, area Merle Norman Studios, and online at www.etix.com and www.forthefansentertainment.com.
