The Columbia County Board of Elections will hold voter registration drives from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Circle K in Appling, May 24 at Kmart in Martinez, and 6-9 p.m. May 24 at Columbia County's Red, White and Blue Veterans Celebration in Evans. Preschool walk

Garden series
The Columbia County Extension Service Gardening at Lunch series for 2008 continues 12:10-12:45 p.m. today at the Columbia County library with extension agent Charles Phillips conducting a session on water conservation.
