Voter drives

The Columbia County Board of Elections will hold voter registration drives from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Circle K in Appling, May 24 at Kmart in Martinez, and 6-9 p.m. May 24 at Columbia County's Red, White and Blue Veterans Celebration in Evans. June 15 is the deadline for registration for the July 15 primary election. For information, call (706) 868-3355.
Chorale concert
The Da Capo and Chorale choirs of the Augusta Children's Chorale will perform in a free concert at 7 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Cultural Center in appreciation of community support for the Chorale's recent trip to New York. Refreshments will be served after the concert.
Golf tourney
The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will hold a nine-hole golf tournament at 4 p.m. Monday at Bartram Trail Golf Club. Cost is $50 per player or $200 per team. To register, go to columbiacountychamber.com/events.html.
Alzheimer's lunch
Dr. Tom Hartney will speak at a free Augusta Alzheimer's Association lunch program from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Medical College of Georgia Alumni Center, 919 15th St. Make reservations by noon Monday by calling (706) 721-0609.
Preschool walk

Garden series
The Columbia County Extension Service Gardening at Lunch series for 2008 continues 12:10-12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Columbia County library with extension agent Charles Phillips conducting a session on water conservation. Church concert
The Dixie Echoes Quartet will preform in a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bethesda Baptist Church, 5793 Old Augusta Highway, in Harlem. For information, call (706) 556-6818.
