Yard sale
Local Transportation Workers Union 279 Columbia County school bus drivers will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the CWU building on Leigh Street, off Davis Road behind West Town shopping center. The proceeds go to the John A. Gabriel Scholarship Fund.
Taste of Greece

Scholarships
The annual Fort Gordon Sergeants Major Association scholarship essay competition will be held through May 31, with three $500 scholarships available to Augusta-area high school graduates who do not need to be affiliated with the military to apply. Holocaust day
Holocaust Remembrance Day will be observed at 6:30 p.m. today at Augusta Jewish Community Center, 898 Weinberger Way, Evans. The event will include a candle-lighting and name-reading, an exhibit honoring Carl Lutz, and a talk by Holocaust survivor Herbert Kohn. Call (706) 228-3636.
