U.S. Rep. Paul Broun is sponsoring an essay contest for high-school students in the 10th District.
//
Students can write an essay of up to 250 words on the words "wisdom," "justice" or "moderation," which appear in the pledge to the Georgia flag, and explain why the virtue is important to them and to Georgia.
The essays should be typed, double-spaced, preferably in Microsoft Word. Students should include their contact information. They also should submit a paragraph about how their favorite high school teacher or administrator has influenced them.
There will be one winner from each high school in the 10th District. The winners will be announced in May. They will receive a Georgia flag, a copy of the state constitution and a signed photo with the congressman and their favorite teacher or administrator.
Essays should be submitted by e-mail to essay@paulbroun.com. The deadline is April 25.
