Extension training

Group meets

The Georgia Real Estate Investors Association, a nonprofit group that discusses and shares information on local market and sales conditions, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Evans Library on North Belair Road. IAAP meeting

Friday is the deadline for reservations for the 5:30 p.m. April 24 meeting of the International Association of Administrative Professionals at the Columbia County Government Complex Auditorium in Evans. Spring carnival

Lewiston Elementary School will hold its spring carnival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, with rides, games, food, a silent auction and Mother's Day shopping. Armbands cost $15, with individual game tickets for 50 cents, and are available in advance or at the carnival.

The annual Fort Gordon Sergeants Major Association scholarship essay competition will be held through May 31, with three $500 scholarships available to Augusta-area high school graduates who do not need to be affiliated with the military to apply.
