Those wishing to advance their business acumen without a trip to the big city might consider taking in an April 18 simulcast event at an Evans church.

The all-day event, called Maximum Impact Simulcast: Advance, will begin at 9 a.m., with registration starting at 8:15 a.m. It will feature numerous speakers discussing business strategies and motivation techniques.

During the simulcast at Wesley United Methodist Church, 825 N. Belair Road, speakers will include authors John C Maxwell, Andy Stanley and Andy Andrews; sportscasters Spencer Tillman and Dick Vitale; Fast Company editor Bill Taylor; business executives Patrick Lencioni, Dan Cathy and Kevin Carroll; and executive coach Valorie Burton.

"It's good, quality leadership training at a very affordable price," said Regina Mobley, the group vice president of bank operations at Georgia Bank & Trust.

Officials behind the training seminar, to be broadcast live from Atlanta, expect more than 80,000 participants in the simulcast at more than 600 churches across North America, according to a news release.

"We feel like this is a great opportunity to strengthen the business leadership we have in this community by providing a quality seminar close by," said Mary Carolyn Thigpen, the evangelism director at Wesley.

Though the event will be held at a church, the seminar is not faith-based, Mobley said.

Reservations cost $49 and include lunch.

To make a reservation, call the church at (706) 869-0888. For more information on Advance, visit www.maximumimpact.com/mis.
