Tennis tournament
The 2008 Banana Open tennis tournament will be held April 17-20 at the Petersburg Racquet Club in Martinez. The tournament is sanctioned by the USTA and registration is online. Players will compete for the chance to qualify for the Banana Open Challenge in Hilton Head Island, S.C., on Oct. 3-5.
Divisions are men's and women's singles and doubles and mixed doubles from 2.5 through open divisions. Cost is $30 for the first event, $15 for a second event, plus the TennisLink fee. Deadline for entry is April 13 at 11:59 p.m. Register at usta.com or www.prctennis.com. Call (706) 860-9288.

Volleyball camps
- Augusta Prep's sixth annual summer volleyball camps are June 5-6 and June 23-27. There are two sessions per camp: middle school from 9 a.m.-noon (grades 5-8) and high school from 1-4 p.m. (grades 9-12). Cost is $50 for the two-day camp, $120 for the five-day camp. - The eighth annual GHS Volleyball Camp will be held June 10-13 at Greenbrier High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Camp is for girls in grades 5-9. Cost is $75, which includes a T-shirt. Brochures are at Greenbrier High School and on the school Web site.

Golf tournaments
The Fourth Annual Adaptive Golf Challenge to benefit Camp TBI and other adaptive sports programs, sponsored by Walton Foundation for Independence, will be held Monday. Tee time is 10 a.m. at Augusta Municipal Golf Course. Each team will consist of three able-bodied and one physically challenged player.
