Crafters wanted

Barbecue benefit
A barbecue rib dinner will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bernie Ward Community Center at 2027 Lumpkin Road in Augusta. Proceeds benefit Mary Jefferson, of Appling, who needs a kidney transplant. A plate costs $10 and includes barbecue ribs, hash and rice, potato salad, bread and cake.
Spring carnival
Lewiston Elementary School will hold its spring carnival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 19 with rides, games, food, a silent auction and Mother's Day shopping. Armbands cost $15, with individual game tickets for 50 cents, and are available in advance or at the carnival.
Wildflower classes

School showcase
Harlem Middle School's music department will hold a talent showcase at 7 p.m. Thursday in the gym. Tickets cost $5 for adults and high school and middle school pupils, $3 for elementary.
Mini-golf tourney
