Monday is the deadline for entries in the eighth annual Poetry Month Tribute, open to middle and high school students and adults. The reading and awards ceremony will be held 5-8 p.m. April 26 at the Center for Primary Care medical building at The Village at Crossroads, on Dyess Parkway near Wrightsboro Road. Cooking talk

Judy Kancigor, the author of Cooking Jewish , will speak at 2 p.m. today at Augusta Jewish Community Center, 898 Weinberger Way, off Furys Ferry Road in Evans. Cookbooks will be available for purchase and food available for tasting.

Zoning hearing

Columbia County Board of Education will hold a hearing on high school rezoning at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Greenbrier High School auditorium.

School chorus

The Columbia County Middle School Honor Chorus will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Baptist Church, on Gibbs Road in Evans. Admission is free.

Yard sale

Wildflower classes
