Race for cure while testing BMW

Taking a spin in a Beemer on Tuesday might help cure breast cancer.

From 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., a donation of $1 per mile earns someone the privilege of driving a BMW during the 12th Annual BMW Ultimate Drive Supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure event at Taylor BMW.

Since its inception, more than $11 million has been raised with the fund-raiser, according to a released statement. Donations go directly to research and patient services.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the country's largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer, according to the release.

BMW models available to drive include the Z4; and the M3 1 series, 6 series and 3 series.
