With spring approaching, a grocery store in Martinez intends to switch seasons with an artistic flair.

Earth Fare is pairing up with the Greater Augusta Arts Council to hold its inaugural Spring Into Art Fair from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday.
"We wanted something really big to kick off spring," said Heather Parker, Earth Fare's community coordinator.
The art fair is free and will include indoor and outdoor activities.
Works of art, provided by the Greater Augusta Arts Council, will be on display and for sale beneath a large tent in Earth Fare's parking lot. The event will include live music.
Spectators also can view edible art indoors.
"We've kind of challenged all of our departments to come up with an art display that they create from the products that they have in each of the departments," Parker said.
Customers who vote for their favorite art display will receive a free recyclable tote bag, she said.
Each display will include a sampling of the product used in the art piece.
Five percent of Earth Fare's total sales from the day will benefit the arts council.
"We try to look for fun things to do that will raise money for a good cause," Parker said, "but we also have fun at the same time."
Children can make their own art in the store's community room by creating stained glass from crayons, designing art from food and decorating cupcakes.
