Furniture drive
A furniture drive for Augusta Urban Ministries will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Furniture in usable condition may be dropped off at Marvin United Methodist Church, on Wheeler and South Belair roads. Barbecue chicken dinners also will be available for $6.50 per plate. Proceeds will benefit Augusta Urban Ministries.

Preschool walk

Marc Fomby, a nationally recognized speaker on youth issues, will discuss drugs, gangs and music at 6 p.m. today at Harlem United Methodist Church. Admission is free.
