Ex-'Idol' singer to perform

An American idol plans to perform in Evans.

Bo Bice is scheduled to play at the Columbia County Amphitheater March 16, according to the artist's Web site. Bice was named runner-up during season four of American Idol in 2005.

A variety of musicians will perform during nine concerts at the Columbia County Amphitheater in Evans as part of the Music Evolution Series created by For the Fans Entertain-ment LLC, an entertainment company bringing the concert series to Columbia County.

Further details about the concert series will be announced during the business' Columbia County Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony 11 a.m. Thursday at the amphitheater.

Although For the Fans Entertainment LLC representatives would not confirm Bice's participation in the series, the March 16 date on Bice's published tour schedule coincides with the date of the first concert in the Columbia County series.

Concerts in the series will be held each month through October.

"The Music Evolution Series is going to give you many genres of musical bliss you can only imagine while showcasing the new and beautiful Columbia County Amphitheater," according to For the Fans Entertainment LLC's MySpace page. "Each show will leave you with a breathtaking experience and have you anticipating the next monthly concert."

Each concert will feature a headline act, a mid-level act and a local attraction, said Sean Frantom, of For the Fans Entertainment LLC.
