Chamber to honor business

Festivities for the third annual Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Celebration Dinner and Awards Night Program will be Monday.

The event will be at the DoubleTree Hotel on Perimeter Parkway in Augusta. The evening highlights a business showcase and VIP reception at 4:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30, followed by the awards ceremony.

The ceremony features awards for Entrepreneur of the Year, for businesses with 19 employees or less; Business of the Year, for businesses with 20 employees or more; Ambassador of the Year; and Volunteer of the Year. The Lifetime Achievement Award also will be presented.

Nominees in the Entrepreneur and Small Business categories are Phil Alexander, Jeffrey Freehof, Jeff Poitevint, B. William Cleveland and David W. Jones.
