Girl of the month named at Evans
Miss Kathie Lovett has been selected as Miss FHA of the month at Evans High School. Miss FHA of the month is selected according to the number of Future Homemakers of America activities she has participated in.
Kathie is president of FHA and has been a member of the organization for two years.
Some of Kathie's activities included being in charge of the Christmas Party for Teachers, which consisted of decorating, making favors and invitations and planning and preparing a meal for the event.
Kathie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Lovett of Evans.
Harlem School to enroll first-graders
Harlem School Principal Gene Lail announced that the week of Jan. 15 has been set aside for enrollment of students entering first grade in September 1968.
Children who will be 6 years of age on or before Dec. 31, 1968, are to be enrolled on these dates. Parents are urged to bring birth certificates and shot records.
