Golf tournament

The Julie's House second annual golf tournament will be held March 12 at Bartram Trail Golf Club to raise money to provide shelter, goods and services to homeless women and their children. cost is $75 per person, or $200 per team, and includes greens fee, cart and lunch. Call (706) 836-2781.
Baseball clinic
A free baseball preseason clinic will be held during the next several weeks for any 11- or 12-year-old players wanting to prepare for the upcoming baseball season. For more information, call Brad Thompson at (706) 541-9726.
Umpires sought
The Augusta Baseball Umpires Association is recruiting umpires for the 2008 high school season. Classroom and field training will be provided. Officials clinic

Tennis league
The CSRA Junior Tennis League will have open registration for the Spring 2008 team tennis season through Jan. 15 for ages 5-18. To register, go to www.csratennis.com. Participants need a current USTA membership valid through April 15. League play starts Jan. 27 and ends April 30. Matches are typically Sundays at 2 p.m. The regular Junior Tennis league costs $20 plus a $3 TennisLink fee. The new 8-and-under beginner 36-foot court league and the 10-and-under beginner 60-foot court league costs $10 plus a $3 Tennislink fee. Umpire camp
The CSRA Baseball Umpires Camp featuring Major League Baseball umpires Marvin Hudson and Fieldin Culbreth will be held on Jan. 19 at Westside High School from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The camp will include a GHSA clinic, Dixie certification and USSSA certification.
