Tennis league

The CSRA Junior Tennis League will have open registration for the Spring 2008 team tennis season from Dec. 30 to Jan. 15 for children ages 5-18. To register, go to www.csratennis.com. In the menu under "Juniors" and "Instructions" click on Player. Participants will need a current USTA membership valid through April 15 to register. To obtain a USTA membership, go to www.usta.com or call USTA at (800) 990-8782. League play starts Jan. 27 and ends April 30. Matches are typically played on Sundays at 2 p.m. The regular Junior Tennis league costs $20 plus a $3 TennisLink fee. The new 8-and-under beginner 36-foot court league and the 10-and-under beginner 60-foot court league costs $10 plus a $3 Tennislink fee. Umpire camp

The CSRA Baseball Umpires Camp featuring Major League Baseball umpires Marvin Hudson and Fieldin Culbreth will be held Jan. 19 at Westside High School from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The camp is open to the experienced amateur or beginning umpire and will include a GHSA clinic, Dixie certification and USSSA certification. Volleyball clinic

The CSRA HEAT Volleyball Club will hold developmental clinics for girls in grades 5-11 every Sunday from Jan. 6 through March 30 from 5-7 p.m. The clinics will be held in the Boardman Gymnasium at Augusta Prep, and the cost is $160.
