Kids Winter Fest to have arts, crafts

To benefit Golden Harvest Food Bank, Earth Fare will hold Kids Winter Fest on Saturday.

Set for 2-5 p.m. at the 368 Furys Ferry Road store in Martinez, the event features storyteller Jean Embry, holiday arts and crafts, and refreshments provided by Earth Fare for children of all ages.

On hand to lend aid to the event will be Teen Miss Aiken County, Teen Miss Western Carolina State Fair, Young Miss Teen Murrells Inlet and Miss Western Carolina State Fair.

"Each month, they (Earth Fare) will benefit a different organization," said Golden Harvest Director of Corporate Relations Armen Boyajian. "December happens to be our month."

No admission fee will be charged to attend Kids Winter Fest.

The store is donating a portion of its proceeds when shoppers provide their own bag for their purchases, Boyajian said.

"They're a really good corporate citizen," he said.
