Candlelight services

- Church of the Holy Comforter will hold a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. The church meets at Savannah Rapids Pavilion.

Libraries closed

Columbia County libraries will be closed through Wednesday and reopen for regular hours Thursday.

Absentee voting

Absentee voting for the Feb. 5, 2008, Presidential Preference Primary is available at the Columbia County Board of Elections office, 500 Faircloth Drive, in Evans, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For information, call (706) 868-3355.
