Despite political correctness, the 'holiday' we celebrate is Christmas

Thank God (yes, I mentioned the "G" word) for Ron Cross.

Saturday night at Columbia County's Christmas tree lighting, the County Commission chairman had the guts to say what most Columbia County residents and the vast majority of Americans believe: This is not the "holiday" season, but Christmas.

Under the cloak of being politically correct, we've kicked God out of our schools, taken His name off our public buildings and removed His commandments from view.

I hope we never let them remove Him from His Son's birthday.

Thank you, Mr. Cross.
