Complaints about planning and zoning board focused on candidacies

Regarding the Dec. 2 News-Times editorial, "Commission must reject P&Z changes":

There was no conversation about the zoning changes by builders except for resigning if you run for office. No builder except myself had enough interest about this issue to go to the County Commission meeting or talk to the commissioners, so I spoke and only about the issue of staying on the board if you are running for office which (members) Bret McGuire and Deanne Hall are doing.

I feel if you are on the Planning and Zoning Board you should not be asking businesses for money or their support, including signs on commercial property in Columbia County with zoning issues coming before you, and each of them have done this.

It is funny: When The News-Times disagrees with a builder about an issue you write there is a conspiracy by the building community to destroy the county and cheat the citizens! But when the school system has a problem like they have now, and the parents begin talking to each other and parents go to a school board meeting, you don't write it's a conspiracy to destroy the educational system in Columbia County.
