Military milestones

Army Pvt. Theodore E. Finley has arrived for duty at Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas. Finley, an infantryman, is assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment. He is the son of Albert and Debbie Valente, of Appling, and a 2006 graduate of Greenbrier High School.

Army Sgt. Eric C. Swanson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Greg and Susan Swanson, of Martinez. Swanson graduated in 1999 from Evans High School and received a bachelor's degree in 2006 from Augusta State University.

Army Reserve Pvt. Sara N. Rogers has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

She is the daughter of Aeri Rogers, of Evans, and a 2007 graduate of Greenbrier High School.
