Incredulous questions remain after much-discussed Lakeside scandal

"I can't believe Coach Hill would do that!" I had run into a former Lakeside High School parent over Thanksgiving in Atlanta. I quickly reassured him Coach Randy Hill hadn't.

I told him it was the man replacing him. He said, "Coach Hill replaced the guy with the fake resume... and then they replaced Hill with another corrupt clown? What're they thinking there?"

I agreed with him, and told him what I thought was the worst part; the parents and principal closing ranks around the cheater, including the players threatening not to play next season if the coach were replaced. He was incredulous, "They're going to let them play after that? Why?"

Why, indeed.
