Tree-lighting

The seventh annual Christmas in America celebration and lighting of the Columbia County Christmas tree will be 4-7 p.m. Saturday in the memorial gardens and amphitheater in Evans. Vendor spaces are available. Call (706) 312-7191.

Evans parade

The annual Merchants Association of Columbia County Martinez-Evans Christmas parade will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday on Ronald Reagan Drive in Evans. Call parade Chairman Reynold Borseth at (706) 262-7238.

Trees available

The men of Martinez United Methodist Church, 3614 Washington Road, are selling Christmas trees to benefit missions groups and charities. Trees are available next to the church from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, and from noon to 9 p.m. Sundays while they last. Call (706) 863-6541.

>Art After Dark

The Artists' Guild of Columbia County's second annual Art After Dark reception will be held 7-10 p.m. Friday at the Columbia County Library. Tickets cost $10 and are available at the office of The Columbia County News-Times . Go to www.artistguildCC.org.

Holiday bazaar

Vendor spaces are available for the Marvin United Methodist Church holiday bazaar in the church gym from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The church is at South Belair and Wheeler roads. Call Ada Brownson at (706) 721-3621, or Carol Scoggins at (706) 863-1970.

Vendors sought
