Blood drive

The Marshall Family Y, in Evans, will hold a blood drive for Shepeard Community Blood Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, with free child care from 9 a.m.-noon. For information, call Shelly Wilson at (706) 922-9659.

Reed Creek walks

Reed Creek Park will hold two nature walks Saturday. A walk for preschoolers will be held from 10-11 a.m. and a walk and scavenger hunt for families will be held from 1-3 p.m. For information, call (706) 210-4027.

Chamber event

Denise Ryan will be the guest speaker at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Connection luncheon at the Belair Conference Center. Babysitter course

The American Red Cross will hold a babysitter training course for children ages 11-15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Columbia County Library, in Evans. Participants should bring a sack lunch. To register, call (706) 724-8481.
