The Evans-based Knights of Columbus Council 8495 will hold a car show Saturday to raise money to benefit area charities.
Don DeClue, an organizer of the fourth annual event, said the car show at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church on Columbia Road near Grovetown will feature antique vehicles as well as newer, souped-up hot rods.
"It'll be a pretty good mix," he said. The group is hoping for as many as 100 vehicles after having more than 40 the past few years.
The cars will be judged together and not by class, DeClue said. The top automobile will garner $100 and a plaque and prizes will also be given to other vehicles that place.
DeClue said proceeds from the event will benefit the Columbia County Special Olympics, Trinity Hospice, Birthright Augusta, as well as the Knights' building fund.
The price for spectators is $2, and each paying spectator will receive a ballot to judge the vehicles. Children 12 and under are free.
Motorists can still register their vehicles the day of the show for $25. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Judging begins at 11 a.m., and winners will be announced at 3 p.m.
