Health department conducts flu shot clinics

Columbia County's health department has set up a series of flu vaccine clinics at school campuses next week.

The clinics will be held pending vaccine availability, according to a news release from the Columbia County Emergency Services Division.

Shots cost $20, payable in cash or check. Medicare Part B will cover the cost of the vaccine, which is available to anyone 6 months and older.

In addition to the flu shot clinics, shots are available by appointment at health department offices in Evans, Appling and Grovetown. For information, call the health department at (706) 868-3330.
