There will be lots of fun for the family at this year's ninth annual Family Fall Fest at Mistletoe State Park in Appling.

The band TDC will perform at Saturday's festival, which runs from 5-10 p.m. and costs $10 per car. The admission fee includes the regular $3 park entrance fee, in addition to the $7 festival fee.

"Folks should come early to drive by and see the campsites, since there will be a campsite decorating contest," said Marilyn Grau, a senior Corps project director.

In addition to the live band, Pam Link, of the Columbia County Library, will be on hand for storytelling.

Other activities planned for the night include a hike, haunted house, scavenger hunt, apples on a string, face painting, marshmallow roasting, a bean-bag toss and a hayride.

The hayride is the only activity not included in the admission fee. The cost for the hayride is $2 per person.

"Wear costumes to add to the fun," Grau said.
