Club volleyball

The 2007-08 organizational meeting for the CSRA HEAT Volleyball Club will be Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. in the Boardman Gym at Augusta Prep. Girls in grades 6-12 and their parents are encouraged to attend. There is a $50 registration and tryout fee, and tryouts will be the first two Sundays in November. Golf tournament

The Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the 2007 Walk for Autism and the First Tee of Augusta has been moved to Oct. 22 at the West Lake County Club. Call Lori Moczadlo at (706) 863-8443.

Travel baseball

A 15U boys travel baseball team is looking for pitchers and middle infielders. Call Roger at (706) 860-5759.

Adult soccer

The Columbia County Recreation Department will soon begin forming 6-on-6 adult soccer leagues. The games will be played on Sundays at either Patriots Park or Blanchard Woods Park. Contact Ricky Saunders at (706) 306-2759.

Baseball tourneys

Registration for fall baseball tournaments is open to any travel baseball teams. Tournaments include the Savannah River Slugfest on Oct. 13-14 in North Augusta, the Georgia-Line Boo Ball NIT on Oct. 26-28 in Aiken and the Aiken Fall Finale on Nov. 10-11 in Aiken.
