Trunk or treat

First Baptist Church of Evans, on Belair Road at Washington Road, will hold its annual Trunk or Treat and Great Pumpkin Party from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

Fair entries

The Columbia County Extension Service is seeking youth entries for the Columbia County Fall Fair, with more than $2,000 in prize money offered. All items must be entered from 1:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the fairgrounds. For information and categories, go to www.ugaextension.com/columbia.

Blue Ridge events

Blue Ridge Elementary School is holding its book fair during school hours through Friday. The school's fall festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Wesley United Methodist Church will hold its fall yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, 825 N. Belair Road, in Evans.

Byrd anniversary
