Planning Commission OKs rezoning of 2 acres

During the Thursday meeting of the Columbia County Planning Commission, members:

- Approved a request to rezone 1.97 acres on Jessie Road, from Residential-2 to Residential-3A, for a duplex development.

- Approved a county-initiated rezoning of 7.94 acres at 120 Chamblin Road, from Special-1 to Residential-Agricultural.

- Rejected a county-initiated rezoning of 2.33 acres at 5550 Washington Road, from Commerical-2 to R-A.

- Accepted the withdrawal of a county-initiated rezoning of 2.14 acres at 5530 Washington Road, from C-2 to R-A.

- Rejected a county-initiated rezoning of 2 acres at 5520 Washington Road, from Commercial-1 to R-A.

- Rejected a county-initiated rezoning of 1.32 acres at 5301 Washington Road, from C-2 to Residential-1.

- Rejected a county-initiated rezoning of 1 acre at 1393 Furys Ferry Road from Professional-1 to R-1.

- Rejected a county-initiated rezoning of 1.01 acres at 1140 Furys Ferry Road from C-1 to R-1.

The county commission will take these items under consideration at their Oct. 16 meeting.
