Records fell Wednesday at the first public school 5K cross country meet at the new Blanchard Woods Park in Evans.

The previous course records of 19:21 for boys and 23:03 for girls set at an Augusta Christian tri-meet last weekend were shattered by a pair of Greenbrier runners.
Lady Wolfpack senior Chelsea Maxwell took first place for the girls with a time of 20:29. Greenbrier's Taylor Snyder barely edged out Lakeside's Atom Young to win the boys race with a time of 17:41.
Both are now the current course records.
