Petty Officer 3rd Class Brannan K. Hood, Jr., son of Laura L. Baker, of Martinez, and Kenneth B. Hood Sr., of Saluda, S.C., recently graduated from the Aviation Survival Technician Class A course at Coast Guard Aviation Technical Training Center, Elizabeth City, N.C. Hood is a 2001 graduate of Evans High School and joined the Coast Guard in February 2003.
ROTC course graduates
Cadet Paul G. Maile has graduated from the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky. Maile is a student at the Marion Military Institute, Ala. He is the son of Chris and Corilla Y. Maile, of Martinez, and is a 2007 graduate of Lakeside High School.
Richard J. Bice has graduated from the Army ROTC Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky. Bice is a student at Augusta State University. He is the son of Jim W. and Hye S. Bice, of Evans, and is a 2003 graduate of Greenbrier High School.
Michael A. Skuza graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as Operation Warrior Forge, at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. Skuza is a student at Augusta State University and a 2004 graduate of Harlem High School.
Michelle Y. Tucker graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as Operation Warrior Forge, at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. The cadet is a student at Augusta State University. She is the daughter of Jung Sook Le and stepdaughter of Khanh C. Le, of Martinez. Tucker graduated in 1998 from Evans High School and received a bachelor's degree in 2005 from the University of Georgia.
Thomas H. Bloomer graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as Operation Warrior Forge, at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. The cadet is a student at the New Mexico State University, Las Cruces. Bloomer is the son of Harry D. and Doris Bloomer, of Appling.
