The story and craft session will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the library at 7022 Evans Towne Center Blvd. in Evans.

The event is sponsored by the library and Asociacin Latina de Servicios del CSRA, which is a service organization serving the Latin community.

"It is a service organization trying to encourage Spanish-speaking children to come to the library," said Pam Link, a children's librarian at the Evans branch.

The event is free and includes reading a book in Spanish, then the same book in English. A time for crafts and possibly a song also is offered, Link said.

"Hopefully, next month we'll do it at the Euchee Creek Library," Link said. She is making plans for the program to soon be offered at all three Columbia County Library branches. "Hopefully it will become a regular thing."
