It is difficult to measure the gratitude and appreciation to a group of people you can barely remember.

On July 27, I suffered a cardiac arrest in my kitchen. Immediately, my wife and daughter started CPR until the emergency medical team arrived. I owe more than I can give in gratitude love and thankfulness to my wife, Frances, and daughter, Lori.
In addition, there is no end to praise for the emergency medical technicians from Martinez-Columbia Fire Rescue Engine Company No. 2 on Gibbs Road, in Evans, who were my guardian angels, keeping me alive until I reached the emergency room of Doctors Hospital.
After I was processed in, I had two more cardiac arrests, to which the emergency room personnel responded. They managed to keep me alive until I could have a defibrillator and pacemaker implanted in my chest. I was placed into an induced coma.
I cannot possibly thank Dr's, Clark, Benjia, Edwards, and Broadwater enough for their care and skills that ultimately saved my life. So, my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to each of them for keeping me alive.
To my friends on the online forum of The Augusta Chronicle, thank you for your prayers, kind thoughts and support. They are an amazing group of people I am proud to call my friends.
To the hospital staff, nurses, techs and assistants, your care and support brought me through a very difficult time, most of which I cannot remember. I give my praise to each of them, and thank them for taking care of me, which was no easy task. I would not be here today without all their hard work and special care. May they all be especially blessed, always.
