WWII vets sought

The Augusta-Richmond County Historical Society is seeking veterans of World War II for videotaped interviews as part of the veterans history project. Volunteers to conduct the interviews also are needed. Call (706) 738-8242.

Accessory party

The Evans High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America will hold a drop-in accessories party from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the school commons area, with fashion accessories available for purchase. Monogramming will be available. The event is a fundraiser for the club.

Prostate seminar

University Hospital will hold a community education event on prostate cancer and early detection from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. The event is free, but reservations are required. Dinner will be served. Call (706) 828-2502.

Outdoor movie

The Columbia County Screen on the Green series at the amphitheater continues Saturday at dark, with the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
