Accessory party

The Evans High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America will hold a drop-in accessories party from 3-6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the school commons area, with fashion accessories available for purchase. Monogramming will be available. The event is a fundraiser for the FCCLA.

POW/MIA ceremony

The POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony at Fort Gordon will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the POW Monument at Chamberlain Avenue and Kilbourne Street. Veterans groups will place wreaths at the monument during the ceremony. For information, call (706) 791-8264.

The parents at Center Stage Dance Academy will hold a multifamily indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Flowing Wells Worship Center, on the Richmond County section of Flowing Wells Road off Frontage Road. Hot dog lunches also will be available.

Scavenger hunt

The Columbia County Screen on the Green series at the amphitheater continues Saturday at dark, with the movie National Treasure. Contestants are being sought for the 2007 Miss Columbia County Fair Scholarship Pageant, to be held Sept. 29.
