Music series comes to close

The 2007 Sunset Music Series wraps up this Thursday with a free concert by The Groove Masters at the Columbia County Amphitheater.

The sixth and final concert of the season concludes a series that county community events specialist Brooke Willis said has been very successful.

"Attendance has been growing from one concert to the next and as the weather has been cooling off," she said.

The county has already scheduled shows for the series next August and September.

The free concert begins at 7 p.m. at the amphitheater behind the Columbia County Library in Evans.

Tables for the concert have already been reserved, but patrons are encouraged to bring blankets and their own snacks.

Alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the concert.
