Golf tournament

Rhodes Financial Services will hold its Fourth Annual Guardian Cup Charity Golf Tournament Sept. 21 at Jones Creek Golf Club. Registration will begin at noon with start time at 1 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to SAFEHomes of Augusta. The entry fee is $100 per person, which includes a round of 18 holes, range balls, lunch, dinner and prizes. Softball tryouts

The Georgia Rockers Fastpitch Softball teams will hold tryouts for the 2008 12- and 14-under teams on Sept. 15. Tryouts will be held at Patriots Park.
