Columbia County Community and Leisure Services' September Screen on the Green film series returns for its second year, beginning this Saturday with the Disney-Pixar animated film The Incredibles.

The family fun starts about 7:30 p.m. each Saturday.

Patrons are encouraged to bring their own snacks, blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the films. Concessions will also be available at the show, but alcohol is not permitted.

Brooke Willis, a community events specialist for the county, said the film series peaked at about 500 movie-goers last September.

"Last year we had a great turnout, and this year we think it will have even more people (attend)," she said. The stepped seating area of the theater accommodates 600, with overflow seating in the memorial gardens.

The slate of movies on the 36-foot-tall inflatable screen includes National Treasure on Sept. 15 and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on Sept. 22.

Willis said patrons are encouraged to dress as favorite characters from each week's movie.

Tickets to the event are $1 per person and are available for purchase at the gate. For more information, call (706) 312-7194 or visit www.columbiacountyga.gov.
