Baseball tournament

The BlueforKids Charity Baseball Tournament will be Saturday at Riverside Park in Evans. The tournament, held in conjunction with the Columbia County Recreation Department and the Augusta GreenJackets, includes 10-and-under, 12-and-under and 14-and-under groups. Free tennis

Petersburg Racquet Club will offer free tennis lessons for adults Thursday and 30 from 7-8:30 p.m. Free tennis lessons for juniors will be Sept. 1 from 12-1:30 p.m. A six-week follow-up program will be offered for adults beginning Sept. 6 and juniors beginning Sept. 8. The adult clinic is Thursdays from 7-8:30 p.m. and the juniors clinic is Saturdays from 12-1:30 p.m. For information, call Petersburg Racquet Club at (706) 860-9288.

Softball tryouts
