School festival

The Columbia County Back to School Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Evans High School, with information on school calendars and bus schedules, health screenings, and after-school and recreation registrations.

Stream workshop

IAAP meeting

Jim Connah will present a productivity workshop during a meeting of the Evans Towne Center Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 9 in the general conference room of Building A in the Columbia County Government Complex. 'Patsy Cline' show

Stage III, Columbia County's community theater group, will present the musical Always... Clothing sale

The Children's Resource Center, at 6347 Columbia Road, in Appling, operated by the Columbia County Foundation for Children, is holding a $3 bag sale on summer clothing. The center is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the first Saturday of each month. For information or to make donations, call (706) 541-2849.

The public is invited to nominate candidates for Columbia County Arts Inc.'s third annual Individual Artist award, given to a living Columbia County artist who has dedicated himself or herself to excellence, growth, support and availability of the arts in Columbia County.
