Football clinic

Lakeside High School will sponsor its annual Football-R-Us Clinic from Monday to July 27 from 5:30-8 p.m. Emphasis will be placed on agility training, speed development and position-specific developmental skills. Rising third- through eighth-graders are welcome, regardless of school attendance zone. The cost is $75, which includes a camp T-shirt. Volleyball tryouts

Greenbrier volleyball tryouts will take place Aug. 1-2 and Aug. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Greenbrier gym. Girls must have a current physical and proof of insurance, and must participate in all three days of tryouts. Golf tournament

The Augusta City Junior Championship tournament will be Aug. 11-12 at Forest Hills Golf Club. The 36-hole, medal-play tournament, with boys and girls divisions, is limited to the first 90 entries ages 10-18. The entry fee is $60, which includes a practice round and lunch each day. Golf camps

The 2007 YMCA Golf Camps for ages 6-17 will be held at Bartram Trail Golf Course from Monday to July 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The camps will include comprehensive instruction from PGA professionals and certified golf instructors and will include unlimited range balls and nine holes of golf with prizes and awards. Baseball camp
