Until drunken drivers get tougher sentences, 'slaughter' will continue

I was appalled to see in the legal section the pathetically ridiculous so-called sentences given to two DUI offenders. Both of these guys were found guilty of a "second or subsequent DUI." One was sentenced to 10 days of jail, the other only three!

I don't know if the judge was in an extra good mood the days they were sentenced, or if they had some slick-talking lawyers who helped them escape the punishment they obviously deserved. I do know that until we start throwing repeat offenders in jail for extended periods of time we will continue to see drunks slaughtering innocent men, women and children on our roads!
