Soccer openings

The AME United U13 boys soccer team seeks field players and a goalkeeper for the upcoming fall 20007 season. Games will be played in the regional area. All interested players are welcome to practice with team. For information, call Coach Lopez at (706) 840-5726.

Golf tournament

The Apartment Association of Greater Augusta will hold the first annual AAGA Golf Tournament on Friday. Aug. 10 at 8 a.m. at the Forest Hills Golf Club. Proceeds will be donated to the Jud C. Volleyball clinics

The CSRA Heat Volleyball Club will hold volleyball clinics Sunday afternoons in the Boardman Gym at Augusta Prep for girls fifth grade through high school. Conditioning camp

A free conditioning camp will take place at Blanchard Park every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday through the month of August. The first camp will begin Saturday, July 21. Saturday camps will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday camps will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The camp is intended to help 8- 14-year- olds prepare for the football season.
