Command change
Brig. Gen. Randy Strong will relinquish command of the U.S. Army Signal Center and Fort Gordon to Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Foley at 8 a.m. Tuesday on Barton Field.
Feline Fiesta
Happy Tails Rescue will hold a Feline Fiesta adoption event from 6-8 p.m. July 27 at Superpetz on Bobby Jones Expressway, and CSRA Lifesavers will hold a vaccine clinic during the event.

Clothing sale
The Children's Resource Center, at 6347 Columbia Road, in Appling, operated by the Columbia County Foundation for Children, is holding a $3 bag sale on summer clothing. The center is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the first Saturday of each month.

Gospel visit
Jimmy Snow, son of Grand Ole Opry star Hank Snow, will perform in a gospel concert at 7 p.m. July 27 at Purvis Community School on Georgia Highway 17 between Thomson and Wrens. He will also perform for the Sunday worship service July 29 at 10 a.m. at Bible Fellowship Church, which meets at the Belair Conference Center.
