Can there possibly be any citizen out there who accepts at face value Jim Whitehead's phony countrified elocution in his statement in which he infers a close personal relationship with the late Charlie Norwood? Gosh; his warm, touching, Southern tribute to Norwood makes me think they might have traded a root canal or two for a set of Michelins.

Take notice, Columbia Countians:Whitehead has sided with his rival and the governor in approving the Medical College of Georgia's expansion into Athens rather than here in the Augusta area.

Take notice, Mr. Whitehead: A substantial number of potential voters have stated that if they receive one more phone call from your political apparatus they will automatically vote for your rival.

In essence these phone calls can be inferred to say: "I don't care about your privacy; I want to get elected."
