The public is invited to nominate candidates for the Columbia County Arts Inc.'s third annual Individual Artist award, given to a living Columbia County artist who has dedicated himself or herself to excellence, growth, support and availability of the arts in Columbia County.

Recycling available

Keep Columbia County Beautiful and Waste Management have set up phone book recycling bins in the Government Center, in Evans, at Martinez-Columbia Fire Rescue headquarters on Desoto Drive, in Martinez, and at the fire stations on Furys Ferry Road, Oakley Pirkle Road and William Few Parkway. Scholarships

Walk for Autism is accepting scholarship applications through Sunday to help pay for applied behavioral analysis or Relationship Development Intervention home-based therapy programs.

Pet adoptions

Movie series

The MCG Children's Medical Center Movies Under the Stars series moves to Columbia County's amphitheater with Goonies on Friday, Ice Age on July 20 and Night at the Museum on July 22.
