Memory Walk

The Alzheimer's Association of Augusta is recruiting participants for Memory Walk 2007, which will be held Nov. 3 at Lake Olmstead. The first 75 team captains or individuals who register before Friday will be invited to the July 18 kickoff luncheon at Outback Steakhouse. - Harlem United Methodist Church will hold Vacation Bible School from 6-8:30 p.m. today-Friday for ages 3 through rising fifth grade.

- New Heights Community Church, on Columbia Road, will hold Vacation Bible School from 6:30-9 p.m. today-Friday for children ages 1 through teens, with dinner provided.

Keep Columbia County Beautiful and Waste Management have set up phone book recycling bins in the Government Center in Evans, at Martinez-Columbia Fire Rescue headquarters on Desoto Drive in Martinez, and at the fire stations on Furys Ferry Road, Oakley-Pirkle Road and William Few Parkway.
